Daylight Bites - Daylight Lamps in Day Care!
February 4th, 2009
Hi Everyone
One of my New Year’s resolutions is to do more in my local community. My Dad who has mild Alzheimers, goes to a home for day care 3 days a week. He has a lovely group there. They sit and chat, eat lunch and perhaps a game or two, or just simply read the paper. I went to collect my Dad last week on one of his days and realised what I could do to help - Daylight Lamps! A lot of the people attending day care, including my Dad don’t have the best eyesight at their age. So I took some of our Daylight portable lamps for them to try. This gave a whole new dimension to bingo especially!
These lamps were spot on because they don’t weigh much and can be moved right up to where the light is needed. It has a handle on the top for easy grip and folds down when not in use and is very portable. So I helped those who wanted to read, play games and some stitched and knitted. It was a lovely afternoon - one which I hope to repeat. I know, especially in my Dad’s case, that even people of their age need motivation and inspiration to keep the mind going. If the lamps help them to do what they want to try and do better then that’s great.
We have the Daylight portable lamps on offer at the moment so you can save money and help reduce eyestrain for your self - simply choose silver or white - both are on offer shown on our offers page.
Speak to you again soon
